In version 2016 R3 of Document Studio .NET the ASP.NET Document Viewer supports TypeScript for your client-side code. The required Type Definition files are provided for this.

Type definition files are available as a nuget package. To install them, run the following command in the Package Manager Console

:

Install-Package Gnostice.Web.TypeScript

Installing the package adds the “gnostice.xtremedocumentstudio” folder under your project’s References\Scripts\typings folder. This new folder contains the new type definition files. Now the Visual Studio IDE starts providing intellisense support for ASP.NET Document Viewer classes and we get code completion, API description and compile time error handling support.

Using type definition files with ReSharper: If you are working with pure JavaScript projects, and you also have the ReSharper installed, then the tool provides type completion support with the help of strongly typed files.
