Gnostice Document Studio .NET is the next-generation multi-format document-processing component suite for .NET developers. Currently, it supports viewing, printing, and converting PDF, DOCX, DOC, TXT, HTML, XLSX, XLS, ODS, BMP, GIF, JPEG, PNG, WMF, EMF, TIFF and MTIFF. It also supports programmatic DOCX/DOC mail-merge. Document Studio includes multi-format document viewer controls for Xamarin, WinForms, WPF, and ASP.NET.

In December 2014, we introduced a free edition of the product with just the WinForms Document Viewer control. We have been updating it along with the larger paid editions. In this article, we will focus on the FREE edition and its WinForms viewer control.

What is FREE

Document Studio .NET Free provides you a WinForms multi-format document viewer control. You can use it develop/distribute commercial and closed-source "desktop" applications without any royalty payment. For use in a developer tool, bundling with another application, or use in a "server-type" application, you need to purchase the Professional edition and other licenses. How to start using it

The setup installer application copies a source code project for a viewer application to your "Documents" folder. Open it in Visual Studio to learn about the control's features. You can read more in the getting started section of the Developer Guide.
